Privacy Policy

PrivaReceipt focuses on on-device receipt workflows, with optional third-party integrations only when you enable them.

Information We Collect

PrivaReceipt may process receipt images/PDFs, merchant names, dates, totals, GST values, categories, notes, and extracted transaction metadata.

If permission is granted, the app can access your camera for receipt capture workflows.

The app checks App Store entitlement data to determine premium feature access.

If you connect Xero or enable iCloud sync, data required for those features is processed and transferred to those services.

How We Use Information

Information is used to scan and organize receipts, extract fields, calculate GST-related values, and export CSV. Optional Xero or iCloud features only run when you enable them.

Sharing and Optional Integrations

No standalone PrivaReceipt account is required for local receipt use.

Xero: if connected, selected transaction and receipt data may be sent to Xero under Xero's terms.

iCloud Drive: if enabled, receipt copies are stored in your iCloud container and governed by Apple's services/settings.

Apple: purchases/subscriptions are processed via StoreKit/App Store systems.

Data may also be disclosed if legally required or needed to protect rights, safety, and app integrity.

Storage and Retention

Receipt files and transaction records are primarily stored on-device. If app data is deleted, local copies may be removed unless exported or copied to another service. Retention in Xero/iCloud depends on your settings there.

Your Choices

  • Manage camera permission in iOS Settings.
  • Choose whether to enable optional cloud or third-party integrations.
  • Manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple ID settings.

Children's Privacy

PrivaReceipt is not directed to children under 13 and is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through a dedicated account system.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated for product, legal, or operational changes. The latest version will always appear on this page with an updated effective date.
